Jonathan Kelsey is, without a doubt, the breakout shoe designer of the year. He’s a Brit, educated at Central Saint Martins and trained at Jimmy Choo. It’s his moment, for sure—he’s sold at Saks Fifth Avenue’s amazing shoe department (their department has it’s own zip code!!) right next to Louboutin, and he just did the fall 08 shoe collections for both Mulberry and Daks. His shoes are playful and sexy with a little hint of the dark side. Also, he once told Dazed and Confused, “If Edward Scissorhands had been a girl, she’d be wearing my shoes.” Love that.
