If I hear one more word about the mind-numbing, sensationalized Spitzer scandal, I will scream. The man’s obviously not a particularly moral person—what he did is a huge deal and I would never say otherwise. But why is the public so fascinated with the prostitute?? Suddenly everyone wants to know everything about her, they want to listen to her horrific music, delve into her childhood, and listen to her logically impaired and disinformed political opinions (if you can even call them that). They’re stalking her apartment building in Chelsea, Googling her name incessantly, and downloading her songs. Is this the kind of brain-destroying drivel people crave these days? Scary.
