At a bar/club called Showcase in Paris. That’s my new friend Matthias in the background—he’s a Frenchie living in New York. He told me that it is endearing how I try very hard to speak French but can’t. He said, “No wonder you haven’t had problems in Paris—no one can be mean to you when you’re trying so hard to speak the language…it’s just too cute.” Food for thought.
