1. Birthday Thoughts

My absolutely stellar 28th birthday party on Thursday night proved a few things:

    1. I have REALLY amazing friends. Karcher, Tina, and Alex basically planned the entire thing from start to finish while I was in Paris. Alex hosted a VIP hour at her apartment for all of my closest friends, providing a limitless supply of alcohol and sushi. Tina fielded all the “Where’s the apartment, again?” phone calls, created a perfect party playlist, and brought alcohol and cured meats. Jessica organized party set-up, baked a dangerously good carrot cake and red velvet cupcakes from scratch (my two favorites!), and headed up the cheese platter. All I had to do was show up.

    2. 28 may be retirement age as far as all-night parties go. I stayed out until 5:30 a.m. and didn’t stop feeling hung over until about two hours ago, hence the lack of posts yesterday.

    3. Herve Leger makes great birthday girl dresses. I’ve never gotten so many compliments on a single outfit before!

    4. Turning 28 isn’t as scary as I thought it would be, although it is making me rethink a lot of things in my life. A general conclusion I’ve come to is that it may be time for some spring cleaning. Another year, another birthday—I can hardly believe it. Time flies and life’s too short to waste on negativity.

Pictures to come once I get them from the resident photographer of the night, Miss Tina.
