I'm Carol Han, fashion and food writer, blogger, digital & editorial consultant, and sometime piano player. I love food, books, art and clothes. I hate the horse carriages in Central Park.
This is my Tumblr.

Whenever I need to sort out some thoughts, I head directly to one of three places: the grocery store, the bookstore, or the water (specifically, the Hudson River Park lately).
I went to Balducci’s today in search of some mood-lifting good food and spent a good hour combing the shelves for the best in summer produce (i.e. organic Pink Lady apples, loose strawberries, ripe Brandt peaches, vine tomatoes, and fresh kale). I walk the aisles picking up jars of specialty honey, pressing wedges of artisanal cheese right to my nose and inhaling, choosing the best free-range eggs and bacon for a future breakfast, and directing the butcher to the choicest cut of NY strip he has to offer.
I walk back out into the city streets an hour later laden with paper bags full of delicious food waiting to be cooked and eaten, and voila! I’m smiling again. Works everytime.
